Our Leather Half Check Show Collar is a kinder alternative to a full check, offering light, responsive control without fully tightening. Designed to be used with a trigger hook lead, it creates a clean, elegant line and a confident feel in the ring.
Handmade from soft rolled leather and reinforced internally with parachute cord, this collar is exceptionally strong and will not stretch or snap. The fine chain section provides a subtle, gentle check while remaining comfortable for the dog. You can choose chrome or brass fittings to complement your dog’s colouring and handling style.
How to measure:
Measure the narrowest part of the neck, high up under the ears, it needs to be tight. The size you provide will be the size of the leather section, the chain will then be on top of this, and open sufficiently to allow the collar to slip on and off over the dog’s head. 5mm suitable for most breeds, 3mm for smaller breeds or for a finer look.
